Where to Stay at Bohol

High-end Bohol Beach Club (left) at Dumaluan Beach, Panglao offers the best value for money, totally beachfront, huge pool, and professional service from its staff, excellent hammocks tied to coconut trees fronting the ocean. Rates range from 77 USD (for Standard, Single Occupancy) to 385 USD (for a Family Suite) a day. If you don’t want to splurge yet you want to chill out away from the crowds at the Dumaluan Beach Resort area- you can pay the “entrance fee” of about PhP300 consumable with free use of the facilities (including the pool).
Resort is good for: Honeymooners, Families, and Group Trips.
Bohol Tropics is a hit and miss service, with price ranging from PhP 2150 to PhP5350 a night. However, this is not anywhere near the beach itself. Bohol Tropics is located in Tagbilaran.
Resort is perfect for: Group Trips.
Aquatica Dive Resort qualifies in the midrange on Alona Beach. The room could have been painted better though and there was a huge spider inside the loo. The look of the resort is haphazard with no attempts on class and aesthete. Like I mentioned earlier, the ratatouille was blasé. We didn’t check the price since we are not planning on going back there.
Resort is perfect for: Divers.
If you wanna go budget, Slims Pension House in Tagbilaran City is a good option for you, with rooms as cheap as PhP800-PhP1000 and clean too; main drawback- the annoying noise of tricycles (motorbikes with sidecars) (right) in the morning. Hotel is perfect for: Backpackers.
Another resort you might want to check out is Flushing Meadows on Panglao Island. Relatively new, design and decor seems well-thought out, although nothing special with its Asian fusion architecture.
Ryan supports socially and environmentally responsible and sustainable tourism, as well as the promotion of the Philippines as an alternative Asian tourist destination.

Family & I stayed at Panglao Island Nature Resort & Spa just last April and we thought that’s the best vacation we’ve ever had. The resort is just perfect for us for its calmness, access to the beach and the eternity pool, and excellent service. Bohol is just amazing!
